Reducing Alcohol Intake
Before working with Sally I was struggling with trying to reduce my alcohol intake which I knew was not good for me. I was feeling frustrated and worried about my wellbeing.
I was drinking 2 very large glasses of wine most nights and I would start thinking about it in the afternoon. This was making me feel out of control. I was feeling lonely and felt that wine was my friend and a reward for working.
I had some reservations regarding hypnosis as I had tried it years ago – the previous hypnosis (with someone else) helped only for a week.
My experience of the sessions with Sally have been amazing as she wisely negotiated a way forward with any issues that came up. I have worked supporting others all my career and understand how complex we are as humans. Sally has impressed me with her considerable knowledge, intuition, and wisdom. I have found this invaluable and quite extraordinary as most practitioners are not as multi-skilled as Sally.
I noticed changes in my drinking immediately. A bottle of wine used to last 2 days, now a bottle lasts a week and I have been able to sustain this change for 3 months since staring hypnosis.
I’m still listening to the hypnosis tapes and I am really enjoying them.
Since working with Sally I continue consolidating the changes I’ve made and I am even tackling sorting out a very full garage that I have been meaning to do for such a long time – would you believe it that I haven’t been able to get my car in there for 30 years!

Trauma
I chose to do hypnotherapy because I’d been suffering for a while due to traumatic experiences in my adolescence.
Before starting hypnotherapy, I’d explored these issues thoroughly in a more traditional therapeutic setting and had made several breakthroughs, but had got to a point where I was stuck and didn’t know how to fully move on.
I was struggling to enjoy my life and to feel connected to my family and friends. Although most people probably wouldn’t have been able to tell that I was suffering, I often felt heavy and sad and struggled with feelings of hopelessness. This translated into a lack of motivation in my life and a lot of ‘worst case scenario’ thinking.
The session itself was very powerful for me. It took me a while to settle into the hypnotic state but when I did, I felt completely calm and relaxed. I was able to think about my issues in a totally different way. Sally was a great support to guide me through the process and made me feel safe and comfortable.
The hypnotherapy session allowed me to let go of the grief I felt about my traumatic experiences.
I’m also not anxious about any grief coming back because that cycle feels complete to me and I’m not interested in being drawn into it again. This result is more than I ever hoped for!
I also feel more positive and optimistic about life in ways that I didn’t expect.
I no longer feel like I need to always be prepared for the worst because I have more confidence in my own strength and abilities.
I feel a sense of inner calm that I don’t remember having before in my life.

I was a little worried about discussing my trauma or having to ‘confront’ it in some way but that wasn’t my experience at all. I had my first hypnotherapy session with Sally focusing on allowing more bliss into my life.
What was uncovered was an issue that has been woven throughout my life related to body image and my lack of willingness to be seen.
I was shown scenes that have impacted me greatly and was able to feel a sense of freedom and an understanding of why I haven’t fully shown up in my life.
While I haven’t completed the 21 days of reprogramming yet, I already feel the lightness and openness for letting go of the core issues that resulted in years of hard work and unrealistic expectations of what I want my body to look like and what I was avoiding, ultimately blocking my bliss.
Sally’s session has touched on pieces of my subconscious that I was not aware of and I am deeply grateful.

Boundaries, Guilt, People Pleaser
I’d never done hypnotherapy before and I wasn’t sure what to expect from Sally’s ‘Achieve Your Bliss’ group hypnotherapy session. It was good to be reassured at the beginning of the session that it wouldn’t be like on TV!
The session itself was so relaxing and calm. There was such a lovely vibe from the others in the group and I felt safe and like I belonged there. Sally was, as always, so warm and welcoming, and I felt like I could just let go, be in the flow, and trust her in wherever she was taking us in the session.
And then came the actual hypnosis part, which felt like she was speaking to my soul. Sally said everything I needed to hear to get me out of the well-worn rut I’d been in for so long.
The recordings have been life-changing.
I have long-standing issues with setting boundaries. BUT for the first time, I’ve been saying “No” to people, requests, etc, without feeling guilty! This is a huge step forward for me as I am a people-pleaser and always feel I should say yes to everything people ask of me.
Over the last few weeks, though, I’ve been saying no to things more, which I’ve never been able to do before. And I KNOW that this can only be from the hypnotherapy recordings that I’ve been listening to. These problems have plagued me for years (and is part of the reason I’m finding myself in such a mess at the moment), so it’s noticeable that I’m already acting differently.
And just by beginning to set boundaries, I’m finding there’s a knock-on effect in other parts of my life: I’m beginning to want to look after myself more; I’m beginning to put things I really want to do and people I really want to be with, first.

“Sally’s group hypnotherapy session was magical and powerful. I was skeptical trying this. The focus on bliss and joy and love, the positive things in life, moved me to give it a try. Sally explains the process very clearly, guiding through some journaling and visualizations to anchor the practice. She then provides a meditation to be listened to at least once a day for 21 consecutive days. I chose to listen in bed just before falling asleep. I was still a skeptic for a few days, but I figured listening to a meditation which helped me sleep was easy to keep up for 21 days. The magic seeped in gradually.
Prior to starting hypnotherapy, I had been in a foul mood and upset with my body, my attitude, and the chaos of menopause.
After listening to the recording I noticed my mood was more positive. Physically I had a better attitude towards my body. The best part of all of this was I slept better and continue to do so. I tend to wake up 2 or 3 times a night, finding it difficult to fall asleep again. But lately I have been able to fall asleep deeper after waking up, even when sleep doesn’t happen right away. I may still fall in a funk, but the exit is quicker and more joyful. I attribute it to Sally’s hypnotherapy. I completed the 21 days with ease and occasionally still play the meditation to fall asleep.
I was surprised how this worked. I thought for sure I would want a private session, but I feel so good I don’t need one!”
